November 19: Joseph Keckler and Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts at the Enclave!
Joseph Keckler's concerts and performances have recently been presented by SXSW Music, The New Museum for Contemporary Art, Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, La MaMa ETC, NP Contemporary Art Center, SF MOMA, Abrons Art Center and many other venues across the country and abroad. He has been awarded residencies at MacDowell Artist Colony and Yaddo Artist Colony. Joseph has worked as an actor in numerous plays and some films and is a member of the Actor's Equity Association. Sharifa-Rhodes-Pitts' work has appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s, Vogue, Transition, and Essence among others. She has received awards from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, The New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Lanan Foundation. She graduated from Harvard University and was a Fulbright Scholar in the United Kingdom. Sharifa is writing a trilogy on African-Americans and utopia; her first book, Harlem Is Nowhere, was published in January 2011 by Little, Brown, & Company and in August 2011 by Granta (UK). www.sharifarhodespitts.com
